The DCLM Project is a collection of community initiatives that aim to cater to the holistic needs of people in and around our local community. As well as providing a unique opportunity for project workers to be salt and light in the community, the Project provides the community with the services and support most needed. At present the Project consists of the After School Club established in 2005 that provides care and entertainment in a relaxed and friendly environment for children and young people. Also, the Big Lunch, an annual community celebration that brings local people together over some delicious food and fun activities to get to know each other and develop friendships as well as highlighting the services available to people locally.

The changing socioeconomic climate coupled with our passion to see our community transformed for the better has made our desire to expand the project event more pressing. Therefore we are currently undertaking a process of consultation and planning to develop new dynamic initiatives that are inline with the needs and wants of local people at this time. We hope to be rolling out these projects from 2012 so be sure to watch this space!
